Did you know that Making Place is based in glorious Stratton, on the edge of Cirencester. Stratton is an old community. We even have an entry in the Doomsday book! We became part of Cirencester in 1935 and are eclipsed by our famous Roman neighbour. So at Making Place we have decided to do something about that and launch a new creative history project this year, in collaboration with Cirencester History Festival.
The project is hosting lots of opportunities for small or bigger creative contributions from individuals, families, groups and businesses to be shared as a series of flags and banners around Stratton during October half term, and specifically on FLAGGERY DAY 2nd November 2024. |
You can expect:
- Flags, banners, bunting, pennants - Stratton History Banner unveiling - A History Trail, with specially made flags and banners to visit on route - Drop in Flag Making Workshop - Flaggery Day History Display |
Click the buttons above to find out about the myriad ways you can join in & take part if you live and work in Stratton, or have a connection to our beautiful place.
Individuals, families, groups, businesses, volunteers are ALL WELCOME. |
