Makers & Menders is a co-created session facilitated by Making Place. Attendees can choose to bring their own projects and materials to use, share & donate; or can take part in projects we develop together; and make use of materials and tools provided by Making Place.
When you book you will be asked to agree to the Terms & Conditions below.
Health & Safety - I will look after any tools or materials provided, donated or loaned and use them with due care for my own and others' health & safety. - I will listen to, read, or otherwise heed any safety information offered to keep myself and others safe. - I will consult with Making Place before bringing any potentially hazardous substances, materials or tools into the session. This is so they can undertake a risk assessment and put mitigation measures in place to keep everyone safe. - I understand that Making Place may refuse to allow certain substances, materials or tools to be used during the session for safety reasons, and that they have final say on this matter. - If I see anything that concerns me I will raise it with Making Place as soon as possible.
Accident, Injury, Loss, Damages - I take responsibility for any risks, injuries, losses or damages, known or unknown, which I might incur as a result of taking part. - I waive any claim I may have against Jay Haigh, Making Place, other Makers & Menders Participants for any accident, injury or death caused by their negligence, or otherwise connected with the work of Making Place, in perpetuity. - I waive any claim I may have for loss or damage to my property that may occur in this session, or otherwise connected with the work of Making Place, in perpetuity. - I will ensure all equipment/tools that I bring or borrow are used with care and respect, and for their intended function. - I will return all equipment/tools loaned for the purposes of my participation in the session to the rightful owner.
Children - I understand that children under 16 may only attend at Making Place's discretion, and that they will take the needs and plans of the whole group into account when making this decision. - If I attend with a child under 16 years of age, I will take full parental responsibility for their safety and appropriate participation in the session.
Data Management - I agree to Making Place collecting, storing and managing my data which I provide for the purposes of administering services and keeping in touch with me about the service. - I understand that I have the right to remove my consent to store my personal data at any time.
